MALAI MADHA

Prompted by St Thomas, Appreciated by Marco Polo, Renovated by Giovanni de' Marignolli, Visited by St Francis Xavier, Buried under the sand for 150 years, Not documented; but well venerated is the Shrine of Manal Madha (Our Lady in the Sand) of Kanankkankudiyiruppu (near Puthantharuvai and Chettivillai at the Thisayanvillai-Periyathazhai Road)) is still a mystery for many.
